You can book some appointments online. Please ask at reception for a letter with instructions and signing-in codes for yourself. You will need to bring proof of identity, as the signing-in codes allow limited access to a person's medical record on our computer system. You will also need to attend in person, we cannot give the codes for your medical records to anyone else even spouses. Children up to the age of 14 do not need to attend as parents can have the codes for them. Children age 14 and over will need to attend and prove identity and have their codes themselves.
The website to use to make your booking is https://systmonline.tpp-uk.com
We can send you reminders of your appointments by text. To allow us to do this please print the form from this link, complete it and hand it in at reception
All consultations at the surgery are by appointment. You should inform reception if you feel you need an urgent appointment. If you cannot keep an appointment please inform us.
Although you may be registered with one doctor, the practice is a partnership and patients are free to make an appointment with any of the doctors. We would, however, encourage you to return to the same doctor for review of ongoing problems.
Please note that weekday evening and weekend appointments are available at this surgery and at other surgeries. These appointments are bookable through our practice.
New Patient Improved Access Service for Routine and Same Day Primary Care Appointments
From 1st April 2018 GP Surgeries from Cheltenham, Bishops Cleeve and Winchcombe, listed below, are participating in a new Improved Access Service Pilot to offer additional weekday evening and weekend Primary Care appointments for patients.
leevelands Medical Centre - Sapphire Road, GL52 7YU
Leckhampton Surgery - 17 Moorend Park Road, GL53 0LA
Sixways Clinic - London Road, Charlton Kings, GL52 6HS
Stoke Road Surgery - 4 Stoke Road, Bishops Cleeve, GL52 8RP
Winchcombe Medical Centre - Greet Road, Winchcombe, GL54 5GZ
The new service will offer ‘Routine’ and ‘Same-day’ appointments that are pre-booked in advance. Appointments will be available until 8pm Monday to Friday and from 8:30am to 12:30pm on Saturdays. It is hoped this will allow patients greater access to primary care, particularly for those who would prefer an appointment outside of normal hours.
Appointments are available for all patients registered at the above Surgeries.
Please contact your registered Surgery as usual in order to book an appointment. Please note these appointments will be hosted across the pilot sites on different days. GPs and Nurses will need your consent to access your medical notes if you choose to use the new service.
The new service is for booked appointments only and is not available for drop-ins. Please note that there is not normally telephone access to Surgeries after 6.30pm during the week and at weekends.
The Out-of-Hours service will continue to operate and patients should phone 111 if they need urgent medical attention outside of normal Surgery opening hours, including Public Holidays.
Help the doctor to help you
- Be punctual for your appointments; this reduces delays.
- If more than one person needs to be seen by the doctor, or you have more than one thing you would like to discuss, please ensure that separate/double appointments are made.
- Please cancel appointments as soon as possible if you are unable to attend or no longer need the appointment.
- Please do not ask for immediate visits unless there is a medical emergency.
- Please remember that out of hours visits are for emergency cases only.
- If there is a delay, please be tolerant as emergencies do occur - remember, it could be you. In return for your consideration we will endeavour to give you a prompt, reliable caring and professional service.
Doctors not available
If the doctor you wish to see is not available you will be offered an appointment with one of the other doctors or a locum doctor.
If you wish to discuss something of a non urgent nature with a doctor reception can book you a telephone appointment.
